Welcome to #BellaScooterDay
I overcame a challenging time during a difficult bipolar episode. Living in a very dark place of severe depression and mania, I could not get out of bed for months and felt there was no hope.
What is bipolar disorder?
Described by the NHS as “a mental health condition that affects your moods,” bipolar disorder is characterised by extreme mood swings which can trigger periods of depression.
My life has turned around since I bought a manual scooter, which is like my best friend and the greatest motivator to get out of bed and out of the house.
Plus I get to enjoy nature too!
